Dr. Anjum began his clinical career as a General Physician, and over the last 25 years has been focused on digital health innovation, governance and change management initiatives, helping set the path towards evidence-based application of innovation across healthcare organizations in USA, Canada, UK, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

Dr. Anjum is Global Chief Medical Officer at Agfa HealthCare, and also leads the innovation strategy for Enterprise Imaging and Artificial Intelligence, with the aim of focusing on the needs of public health authorities, thought leading academic institutes, hospitals, and government organizations, to help implement value-based care models, improve diagnostic intelligence, and maximize value from health IT investments.

Prior to joining Agfa HealthCare, Dr. Anjum worked at GE Healthcare for 12 years implementing clinical and imaging IT solutions globally.

Dr. Anjum speaks at global thought leadership events, academic institutes, and his white papers on value-based care and evidence-based use of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare have been published by leading societies, including HIMSS Europe. Dr. Anjum has been interviewed by leading publications, including Auntminnie, Financial Times London and others in recognition of his global expertise on innovative technologies and their impact in improving care delivery.

Besides MBBS, MBA, MIS and ITIL certifications, Dr. Anjum Ahmed recently completed the International Physician Leadership Program from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health – Boston USA.

In addition to his work at Agfa HealthCare, Dr. Anjum was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees at The British Institute of Radiology.
