January 22, 2020 | Agfa HealthCare has announced the appointment of Dr. Anjum Ahmed as the new Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Ahmed joined Agfa HealthCare over 5 years ago and has been steering Agfa HealthCare’s innovation strategy for Enterprise Imaging and Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Ahmed brings to the role of CMO his 21 years of global experience in solutions innovation, governance, change management and digital transformation. Before joining Agfa HealthCare, he spent 12 years implementing clinical and imaging IT solutions for a top-tier global vendor. In addition to acting as a speaker at thought leadership events, he has published white papers in leading societies including HIMSS Europe, ESR, on such timely topics as value-based care and evidence-based use of AI.

With a background as a General Physician, Dr. Ahmed also holds MBBS, MBA and ITIL certifications and has completed the International Physician Leadership Development Program from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
